Large imperial panel in "Caizhi", woven in gold and polychrome threads on a dark blue background. The upper part is decorated with goddesses playing music, the imperial emblems "sun" and "moon" and "Wu Liang Shou Zu Fo" (name given by Qianlong to Amitayus) surrounded by stylised clouds. In the middle, the three Buddhas of the past, present and future sitting on double inverted lotus-shaped pedestals, surrounded by his two disciples: Mahakashyapa and Ananda, 18 arhats (including one representing the Qianlong emperor) and the four celestial kings (Tian Wang). The lower part is decorated with a wide band of "lishui" surmounted by swirling waves. The border is decorated with a "Jiu Lian" motif (nine lotuses) among foliage.
