Versailles flintlock rifle infantry model year XII, octagonal barrel slightly misled, stamped with thunder: "D", "J" and dated: "1812", provided with a small fixed notched rise, striped with seven large semi-circular stripes, caliber 13,5 mm for a 14,4 mm ball, length 64,5 cm; punched lock: "N" in an oval and signed: "MRE IMPLE DE VERSAILLES"; brass fittings punched with two: "D" capital letters, one large and one small, brass trigger guard door with square section, that of the flat iron end passing through the barrel; walnut stock with cheek, punched: "J. D", a button: "B - 1812 - L C - AL" and in the middle: "E F", it also bears the signature of the wooden assembler; strong iron rod pierced with a thread at the front for the ball puller; total length 104.5 cm. (A few shots with a stick). First Empire period. Very good condition.
