BARRÈS (Maurice). Three stations of psychotherapy. Paris, Li - Lot 159
BARRÈS (Maurice). Three stations of psychotherapy. Paris, Librairie Académique Didier Perrin et Cie, Libraires-Éditeurs, 1891. In-16 bradel, half red morocco, blue cover (Noulhac). ORIGINAL EDITION of this work, which appeared the same year as the third novel in the Culte du Moi trilogy, in which the author tackles the subjects of creativity and artistic expression. Copy on plain paper. From the André Breton library, with his bookplate "Le Tamanoir" drawn by Salvador Dali. Interesting provenance: Barrès was an influence for André Breton, but also the subject of many misunderstandings; in 1921 he wondered, "How could the author of Un homme libre have become the propagandist of l'Écho de Paris?" Some foxing.
