Pair of silver (925) salt cellars, blue glass interiors. PARIS, René-Pierre FERRIER (received master in 1775), 1780-1781 (letter-date R). Oval, standing on four claw feet with leafy attachments, the body openworked with plain ribbon-knotted medallions matched with laurel garlands linked to pilasters. Beaded frieze border. Hinged projecting lid, fluted descant and gadroon terrace topped by a pinecone seed. Some dents and deformations, soldering of the seed. Length: 8.5 cm; Net weight: 137.8 g
