In 1834, François Leveillé, a porcelain painter, bought out his uncle Pierre Jullienne's "cristaux, porcelaine, verrerie et faïence" business at 12 rue Thiroux in Paris. He expanded this business to include the highly successful production of "imitations of Vieux Sèvres", which appeared on the header of his invoices. He sold his business to M. Poulin in 1850.
