Carabiniere troop breastplate model 1825 (late Restoration, - Lot 427
Carabiniere troop breastplate model 1825 (late Restoration, early Louis Philippe), modified in the Second Empire by changing the central motif. Wrought-iron backplate and breastplate, brass-plated in the center at 2.5 cm from the edges, surrounded by ten brass rivets used to attach the interior hooks for the padding. The back is signed on the inside: "Manuf re R ale de Klingenthal juin 1831 - 2Te 2Lg N°711", plastron signed: "Manuf re R ale de Klingenthal 1827 - N°191". The center is adorned with an iron glory adorned in the middle with the stamped brass imperial eagle. Black leather straps with two rows of brass chains, brass suspender ties (the belt is missing, having been broken off; the backplate has a very small reinforcement on the lower part of the rim; the leather of the period shoulder pads is slightly damaged; there is a one-size difference in width between the two parts). Restoration/Second Empire period. Good condition.
