Paris, 1587. 4 parts in one in-folio volume, red morocco, triple gilt fillet framing the boards, coat of arms in the center, spine decorated with a repeated numeral, gilt edges (period binding). Printer's mark with nave repeated on titles, a large portrait of Pope Gregory III repeated three times (a6 v°, ? 8 v° and QQQ1 v°) and two genealogical trees (LL2 and LL3 v°) all woodcut. Spines and covers rubbed, but a fine copy in red leather with the coat of arms of JACQUES-AUGUSTE de THOU (1553- 1617) and with the coat of arms of his first wife MARIE de BARBANÇON de CANY.
