Type 1882 divisional general's saber, five-point bronze hilt, quillon adorned with three silver stars, long-tailed cap adorned at the top with a silver monogram "M G" (?), brown horn spindle, watermarked; lenticular-section blade with one groove on each side, alternating, signed on the heel "Manufacture de Klingenthal" and : "PREVEL RUE DE RICHELIEU PARIS"; iron scabbard with a single hoop strap; length 97 cm. It is presented with a superior officer's lanyard. Third Republic period. Very good condition.
