GIEN lot - Lot 13

GIEN lot Two circular earthenware dishes decorated in light relief in the center with busts of figures on an umbilicus framed by antique figures, one marked Château Gien (a chip) and the other marked Château (a chip on the reverse). One dish with grotesque heads and foliage, signed Escalier de cristal Palais royal (on reverse) (one hair), diam: 29 cm GIEN Five earthenware "pichet à cidre" jugs, four with polychrome decoration in the Renaissance style and one in blue monochrome in the Rouen style, bearing interlaced initials. Some are marked with imbricated letters, one with a château mark, one in italics. H: 23.5 to 26 cm (one handle with firing defect, chips, one handle glued back, one neck with chip and hair, wear) GIEN Three earthenware cider jugs and a covered godronné pitcher, two with polychrome decoration of lambrequins in the Rouen style, both decorated with lace motifs called "A la Bérain", marked on the reverse with imbricated letters. H: 23 to 32 cm (hair on the neck and star-shaped hair on the reverse of one)
