DRAGEOIR in silver (950). PARIS, Marc JACQUART, 1798-1809. On a rectangular base standing on four ball feet with openwork vases and griffins, the body rests on a pedestal bordered by a frieze of palmettes. The rounded base is gadrooned and embellished with ram heads. The body, encircled by ornamental friezes, is decorated with draped dancing muses in motion. The scrolled side handles are fitted with cord rings. The slightly domed lid, monogrammed CL, is adorned with a leafy frieze and topped by a grape cluster-shaped grip with vine leaves. Crystal interior. Transformations (lid grip), repairs, knocks, wear to decoration. Height: 30 cm - Net weight: 811 g.
