Hussar officer's sabretache of the 8th regiment, in red leather, red cloth-covered patelette, embroidered in the center with a crowned imperial eagle bearing on the chest a black cloth shield with the numeral: "8", embroidered with silvered copper and silver thread passementerie, surrounded by a wide gold braid and gold piping and edged with a red leather band sewn with silver thread; interior entirely in red leather, pocket lined with unbleached canvas; height 36 cm, 39 cm with rings, width 29.5 cm. Late 19th century. Very fine reproduction in the Premier-Empire style. Very good condition.
