Light cavalry officer's saber, three-prong brass chasseur hilt, fully chased and engraved with piaster falls, shuttle-shaped auricles adorned with a leafy flower, long-tailed cap fully chased with foliage, leather-covered, filigree spindle; curved blade blued and gilded on one half, signed on the back: "Klingenthal"; iron scabbard with three gilded brass fittings, plain chape, trapezoidal bracelets, decorated on each side with a spider web and a palmette; length 100 cm. (Perhaps the clevis has been changed?).
Late First Empire, Restoration period. Good condition.
