Rare teenager's saber modeled after those of the senior officers of the King's bodyguard, finely chased and gilded brass guard, leather-covered fuse, silver filigree; slightly curved, plain beaded blade, probably damascus; iron scabbard with two flat bracelets of bélières, the rings have been removed and replaced by a button, button-shaped stinger; length 100.5 cm. (The plate on the counterguard side has been slightly reduced to allow the sword to be worn on the belt). It is presented with a white buffalo belt, trimmed on the edges with silver braid and on the bottom with red fabric (the latter has been added); inside, it is stamped "LABROSSE LE JEUNE"; silver buckle. Restoration period. Very good condition. Probably the saber of Monsieur de LABROUSSE's son, compagnie de Noailles, staff, instructor. (Reference Histoire de la Maison du Roi 1814/1815, tome second, Paris Baudry éditeur, 1890).
