Beautiful sword for a senior officer or peer of France, chased and gilded brass guard in the general shape of those used by peers of France during the Restoration, keyboard decorated with the god Mars seated on a trophy of arms and flags, spindle with mother-of-pearl plates; triangular blade, one-third blued and gilded, signed on the heel: "S & K"; leather scabbard with two gilded brass fittings, clevis decorated with spider webs; length 100 cm.
Probably late Restoration, Louis-Philippe period. Very good condition.
