* Glaive de général révolutionnaire de l'an VI, brass hilt chased and gilded, crossed with two "S"-shaped quillons decorated with oak leaves, ending in rooster heads, the right-hand quillon is longer and forms the beginning of a branch, guitar-shaped pommel decorated on both sides with a Medusa head, right keyboard formed by a shield decorated on each side with sphinxes, in the center with a Medusa head in a pearled lozenge and finished with two rooster heads, ebony squared spindle; strong, diamond-shaped, flat-edged blade, one-third engraved; length 84.5 cm. (No scabbard; oxidation on the blade).
Late revolutionary, Directoire period. Good condition.
