Round miniature on ivory: portrait of an officer in dark blue suit, gold buttons, gold passementerie senior officer epaulet, open vest, white shirt and tie; he wears, on the shirt, a gold medallion with a six-pointed gold star (perhaps Masonic?); guilloché gilded brass hoop; square blackened wood frame; diameter 55 mm. Consulate period, early First Empire. Very good condition. PROVENANCE: sale by Maître Ader, September 21, 2018, no. 208.
