Oval miniature on ivory, presented in a gilded brass medallion with bezel: presumed portrait of General François Christophe Kellerman (1735/1820), first Duke of Valmy, Marshal of France, bareheaded, in revolutionary general officer's uniform, blue suit embroidered with gold, red collar; height 48 mm, width 40 mm (some wear). Late 18th century, revolutionary period. Fairly good condition.
