Necessary case containing a pair of flintlock pistols, octagonal barrels slightly tromblonné, patinated, 15 mm caliber; round-bodied locks, swan-necked hammers, signed under the battery springs: "Javaux", for one, and : "à Sedan", for the other; cut iron fittings, oval, flat, plain caps; walnut stocks, without checkering; horn-tipped dewlap ramrods; length 31.5 cm; fine mahogany veneered case lined with red velvet, later refurbished, with its accessories and a small copper powder flask signed: "B. A. Paris". Consulate period. 48 x 28.5 8.5 cm. (Fairly good condition). JAVAUX, harquebusier in Sedan (Ardennes) in 1800.
