Precious and fine stones may have undergone treatments designed to enhance their beauty. For example, emeralds may be oiled, rubies and sapphires may be heat-treated, pearls may be bleached, and so on. These treatments are traditional and accepted on the international jewelry market. In view of the increasing number of new treatments, gemstones without certificates are sold without any guarantee that they have been treated. Please note that the origin of the stones and the quality (color and purity of the diamonds) reflect the opinion of the laboratory issuing the certificate. No claim will be accepted if another laboratory issues a different opinion, and neither the auction company nor the expert can be held responsible. Concerning watches: restorations, modifications, technical characteristics, serial numbers, dimensions and weight are given to the best of our ability. They are given only as an indication to facilitate the inspection of the potential buyer and remain subject to his personal appreciation. The responsibility of the auctioneer and the expert cannot be called into question in the event of omissions that may persist despite the precautions taken.
