Second edition of A General Synopsis of Birds given in London in 1781-1785, illustrated with 106 plates. 193 plates engraved and colored at the time (numbered from 1 to 184 and 9 are smoothed). Attached: the author's notice for payment of the book. From the Selina Mill library, with handwritten bookplate on the flyleaf. Some damage to boards and dust jackets; foxing mainly due to serpents.
