2-tone gold brooch 750 thousandths, stylizing a sword and a hat. The blade is set with a line of brilliant-cut diamonds, and the hilt and pommel are set with round faceted and triangle-cut rubies. French work circa 1970. Gross weight: 14.50 g. Length: 8.1 cm. This jewel was inspired by the American musical ''L'homme de la Mancha'', adapted into French by Jacques Brel in 1968. It was part of the ''Partie de la succession Jacques Brel'' sale on Wednesday March 5, 2003 at Drouot, study Gros & Delettrez.
