Senior officer's saber for the grenadiers à cheval de la garde, petite tenue fantaisie, brass battle hilt (traces of gilding), laurel-chased branches, center decorated with a flaming grenade surrounded by a frieze of rais de coeur, pommel decorated with foliage and a flaming grenade, leather-covered, filigree fuse; Montmorency-style white blade signed on the back: "Manufre du Klingenthal"; brass scabbard with two leather crevices, bracelets chased with laurel leaves; length 114.5 cm. (Romel manufacture).
Late 19th, early 20th century. Very good condition.
