After studying in St. Petersburg and at the Royal Academy of Fine Arts in Stockholm, the Russian sculptor Boris Frödman- Cluzel is recommended by the house Fabergé and works around 1907 in England at the royal court for which he realizes a series of statuettes of domestic animals. In 1910, the Hébrard gallery organized a monographic exhibition of small bronze statuettes of the sculptor under the title "Russian and French Dance Artists". Thanks to a meticulous observation work, the dancers with very varied attitudes of Frödman-Cluzel translate a truth of the gestures admired during the Russian ballets then in vogue in the Parisian and European artistic circles. Here he pays tribute to the famous American dancer Isadora Duncan (1877-1927).
