SILVER SAUCIERE AND SLEEPER (950). Paris, Angélique-Marie COULON, 1809-1819. The body rests on an oval pedestal with a gadrooned ring and water-leaf border, a motif repeated on the rim of the sauceboat and oval dormant. The leafy handle ends in a swan's head. Initials H and G engraved in Gothic letters on the body. Minor dents and depression of the foot in the body of the sauceboat. Handle probably in silver (heavy). Sauce boat: H. 19 cm and W. 26.5 cm; total weight 842 g.
