Set of two coffee makers including : Silver CAFETIERE (950). Paris, ap. 1838 (Minerve). Tripod model with twisted sides and rocaille decoration, ebony handle with pans and knob in a swollen disc mantle. The fluted spout is decorated with a laurel garland. The domed lid is topped by a button handle. Ebony handle. The wooden handle is missing at the end, leans slightly, and the seed is slightly embedded in the lid. H. 20.5 cm; gross weight 403 g. Silver CAFETIERE. PARIS, silversmith JFM, 1798-1809. The body, encircled by a wide frieze engraved with palmettes and fleurons, stands on a pedestal decorated with a frieze of palmettes, a motif repeated on the edge of the slightly domed lid topped by a fruit-shaped grip. Curved handle in blackened wood with acanthus leaf attachment. Unstable handle. H. 22 cm; gross weight 351 g.
