DRAGEOIR in silver (950), crystal interior. Paris, D. GARREAU (successor to Mignerot) (lid), 1819-1838. The square base decorated with fillets stands on four ball feet. The circular foot with openwork channels is edged with water leaves and has a gadrooned collar. The body is bordered by gadroons and features broad palmettes, with an openwork band of interlacing around the neck. It has two double-volute handles ending in leopard heads devouring bunches of grapes. The lid, bordered by a pearled frieze, is surmounted by a gadrooned terrace and a burst fruit-shaped grip. It is engraved with a coat-of-arms stamped with a count's crown, matched at the tip with foliage and supported by lions. Minor dents, crystal lining probably recut, no goldsmith's hallmark on the body. H. 25 cm ; W. 20 cm ; Net weight 533 g.
