Garde du gouvernement, infanterie, régiment de grenadiers: service record of M. Nollot, lieutenant in 2nd grade, proposed for another job, unable to continue active service in the guard; signed by General Hulin (one of the main victors of the Bastille); framed piece with passe-partout; 33,5 x 23 cm. On the back, the history of General Hulin and that of Jacques Joseph Nollot. Consulate period. Very good condition. NOLLOT Jacques Joseph, born on March 17, 1765 in Semur (Côte d'Or), entered the service on February 22, 1783 in the Sarre regiment, which became the 51st infantry regiment, and took part in the wars of the Revolution from 1792 to the year VIII, in the armies of Italy and the East. Appointed corporal on July 12, 1793, and sergeant on Messidor II, he distinguished himself in Italy, where he was wounded by a shot to the chest, and on Ventôse 16, Year VII, at the capture of Jaffa, where he tore down, through the gunfire, the Turkish flags planted on the ramparts and was wounded by a shot to the right hand. This action earned him a saber of honor which was awarded to him by the general in chief BONAPARTE, on the 23rd of the same month. Passed with his rank into the foot grenadiers of the consuls' guard, on 8 prairial year VIII, he was named second lieutenant, on 16 messidor year X, and was classified in the 6th cohort of the Legion of Honor. In the year XII, he was part of the troops assembled at the camp of Boulogne and was obliged, by the bad state of his health, to retire, on the 9th of germinal year XIII.
