Large dagger of officer of navy, crossed out of gilded brass, model according to the regulation of the 1st prairial year XII of the swords and the daggers of the commissioners of the navy, knot of body decorated with an anchor in slant, on each side a quillon in the shape of dolphin looking upwards, spindle out of ebony, squared; long blade half-spadon, engraved; length 52 cm. (Without scabbard; blade cleaned with oxidation). Consulate period, early First Empire. Fairly good condition.
