Flint edge trombone, iron barrel, round then flared, engraved with thunder and fillet mouth, 38 mm inner calibre at the end; engraved breech tail; round body lock, signed: "H. Libotte Amsterdam", swan-necked hammer, pebbled battery spring; iron fittings, cut and engraved with foliage, trigger guard and butt plate return decorated with two crossed anchors; black lacquered walnut stock; military type iron ramrod; length 67 cm. (Iron parts oxidized). Early 19th century. Fairly good condition. H. LIBOTTE in Amsterdam is not listed, but a harquebusier of his family, J. LIBOTTE, is known in Liege, from 1836 to 1859 (perhaps his son or a close relative).
