Fancy officer's saber like 1845/1855, made in Paris for export to Argentina, gilded brass guard, entirely chased with foliage, shell and counter-shell pierced, chased with the coat of arms of Argentina surrounded by a laurel wreath, quillon in the shape of a fantastic animal, horn-covered spindle, filigree; round-backed blade, with a central groove and one along the back going to the point, back signed: "Mre Impale de Châtt 7bre 1869 - O d'Infrie Mle 1855"; iron scabbard with two bracelets of bélières; length 95 cm. Second-Empire period. Very good condition.
