*Cornelian oval escutcheon engraved with the arms of Charles Olivier de Saint-Georges, Marquis de Vérac, or his son Armand Maximilien François Joseph de Saint-Georges, Marquis de Vérac, shield quartered: in 1 and 4, argent, a cross gules; in 2 and 3, fess wavy entwined argent and gules of six pieces (de Rochechouart), support: two mermaids; crest: a melusine and the motto: "NITITUR PER ARDUA VIRTUS", it is surrounded by the great collars of St. James and of the Holy Spirit; height 29.5 mm, width 26.5 mm. 18th century or Restoration period.
