A Paris porcelain plate, white and gold, decorated in the center with a mythological scene: "Venus presenting to Diana love and friendship"; wing decorated with a frieze of fruits au naturel; on the back, the legend in gold, the mark in black: "L S C Manufre d'impression sur faïence porcelaine & PAR BREVET D'INVENTION PARIS" (L S C Legros d'Anisy Stone et Coquerel) and a number: "2"; diameter 24 cm. (Slight wear). Circa 1810. Good condition. Manufacture 9, rue du Cadran (rue Léopold Bellan), rue du Faubourg Montmartre, rue Merry, rue Charlot, rue de Poitou, 1808/1848. The three men deposited a patent of invention for the impressions on February 28, 1808 for the process of LEGROS D' ANISY and, the same day, created a company to exploit it whose seat was street of the Dial, 9; the company was dissolved at its term in 1818 and LEGROS D' ANISY continued alone the exploitation of the establishment until 1848 Reference: Régine de PLINVAL de GUILLEBON, Faïences et porcelaines de Paris, XVIIIe - XIXe siècles ; éditions Faton, 1995
