In-4°, dark green jansenist morocco, spine ribbed, gilt edges on witnesses, mosaic lace inside, blue moire lining and endpapers, double endpapers, colour illus. cover preserved (Ch. Septier). Brasswork by Jean-Gabriel DARAGNÈS. Printed at 225 copies, this one (n° 19), ONE OF THE 25 HEAD COPS ON OLD JAPAN, including, unjustified, an additional triple suite of illustrations, one of which is a pure etching and the other on china. ENVOI FROM THE AUTHOR TO SACHA GUITRY on the flyleaf: "To Sacha Guitry who lends a generous ear to my Faustian babblings and who dresses the Young Parque as no one else does, with all my feelings of admiration and - may he allow me - of young friendship. Paul Valéry". EXAMPLE WITH TWO ORIGINAL PIECES - a sheet of the typescript (with two handwritten corrections) & -- a L. A. S. addressed to his publisher, October 28, 1917 (4 pp. in-12).
