Pyrrhus, marble bust, Naples, Archaeological Museum, n°inv. 6150.
This medallion can be compared to the bust portrait of Pyrrhus found in the peristyle of the Villa dei Papiri near the site of Herculaneum in 1757. Pyrrhus, king of Epirus, is traditionally represented wearing a helmet with a crown of oak or laurel leaves.
