Jean Lepautre (1618-1682)
Portrait of Tiberio Fiorelli known as "Scaramouche" portrait in an oval surrounded by vegetables, food and musical instruments. Etching attributed to LePautre (as M. Préaud explains in the catalogue entry, Lepautre may have engraved the portrait after Gissey who would have engraved only the frame). Very nice proof without the verses at the bottom, nor the thesis. Traces of horizontal and vertical folds, some lacks, thinning, small accidents. Cut to the subject. (M. Préaud 294, I/II). 27 x 41 cm
