Large Nevers earthenware bowl from the 17th century. With "fixed white" decoration standing out on a "Persian blue" background, inside a camel in a landscape in a medallion surrounded by a wide frieze of floral elements, the outside of two registers of flowered arabesques, small restored chips, pierced heel, some stripes. D: 36 cm Provenance: - Label for the old Thibault collection. - Label for Me Loudmer, Paris, important old earthenware collection (belonging to Mr Thibault), October 17, 1983, lot 16 (reproduced on the cover). For a vase preserved in the collections of the Musée de Saumur, and a pair of bottles preserved in the collections of the Musée national de Sèvres-Cité de la Céramique, with a decoration in the same spirit, see by A. Faÿ-Hallé and C. Lahaussois, La Faïence Européenne au XVIIe, le Triomphe de Delft, Paris, 2003, p. 269.
