Pair of Paris porcelain vases (Atelier de décoration de Deroche) from the first half of the 19th century. Printed Deroche/J.J.Rousseau/Paris marks, decorator's marks, intaglio mark. Oval, with scrolled handles with palmettes and medals, resting on a pedestal and a square base, decorated on the polychrome sides with a Virgin and Child in a gold medallion standing out on a raspberry background enriched with sphinxes with arabesques back to back around a column, a restored vase. H: 39 cm The representations are respectively based on the composition of the Virgin and Child with Saint John the Baptist (Saint John the Baptist is missing) by Raphael (kept in the Pitti Palace in Florence), and the Virgin with a bunch of grapes by Mignard (kept in the Louvre Museum).
