Reward flintlock rifle model 1817, barrel with sides then round punched: ''D T'' and dated: ''1817'', lock punched: ''G'' spangled in a rectangle and signed: Manuf Royale De Versailles'', silver plated brass trimmings, punched: ''H'', front of trigger guard and back of butt plate cut out in the shape of a fleur-de-lis, walnut stock punched: ''J. D'', silver thumb piece, the shield surmounted by a royal crown, engraved with a cock in place of the arms of France, the motto: ''VIVE LE ROI'' was removed under the July monarchy. The silver attribution plate, on the left side of the stock, is not to the model, it was given later, it is engraved: ''Donated by the King to Sr. Dubois (Jean)''. Iron rod. Length 142.5 cm.
