Schaschka of honor of St. George model 1913, reign of Nicholas II (1894/1917), guard to a brass branch carved and gilded with foliage, bearing the dedication in Russian: "For bravery", a pierced quillon to receive the wrist strap, a rocket also in gilded brass; a cap engraved with foliage, decorated with a round medallion that was originally to bear the figure of Nicholas II, probably erased in 1917, on top, in an oval frame, it is decorated with an enamelled cross of St. George's; curved blade in polished steel with three grooves and counter-edge, engraved with etching of a foliage cartridge containing in the centre, on one side, the great Russian imperial weapons: two-headed eagle and, on the other, the crowned figure of Nicholas II; it is signed on the heel: "GOTTL. OSTHOFF - SOLINGEN", length 79.5 cm; wooden sheath covered with leather with three gold brass trims, decorated with laurel leaves; total length 94 cm. (The enamel in the centre of the cross of St. George is damaged). Period, Imperial Russia, 1913/1917. Good condition.
