Arcelin test cavalry carabiner model 1836 with percussion, breech loading, five-sided barrel then round punched: "D" crowned and "C" starred, carrying the inertia block to thunder, the end is equipped with a sight point and a "T" stud used to mount the sabre lance, calibre 12 mm striped; mobile breech locked by an articulated lever; punched rear plate: "J" spangled in a shield and signed: "Mre Impale de Châtellerault"; brass fittings, iron trigger guard, punched in succession; walnut veined stock punched in; iron rod pierced with a hole at the end. Second Empire period. Very good condition, close to new. PROVENANCE: sale of the DENIS collection, in Saint-Étienne on November 26, 1995, n° 607.
