Infantry lighter model 1767, one-branch guard and brass handle, punched branch: "B" (F. Bisch, 1st class controller, 1783/1791) and: "J" crowned (De Juchereau, inspector, 1787/1789); flat blade with the same stamps, signed on the back: "Mfture Rale D'alsace" and engraved on both sides of a flaming grenade, on one side, above, the two: "L" intertwined for Louis XVI and, on the other, the inscription: "GRENADIER"; leather sheath with two brass trims model 1816. Louis XVI period. Very good condition. PROVENANCE: sale of the DENIS collection, in Saint-Étienne, on December 4, 1994, n° 334.
