An important flat desk that belonged to the minister of Napoleon III, Achille Marcus Fould. It is inlaid with tobacco wood lozenges delimited by fillets composed in amaranth frames. Rectangular in shape, it opens with three drawers at the bottom, two leaves each revealing three drawers, one of which is fitted with a locker and a chest. Rich ornamentation of chiselled and gilded bronzes such as a gallery, foliated frieze, rosettes, scraps with ribboned garlands, water leaf frames... End of the 19th century The tray covered with green leather. H: 76 cm - W: 200 cm - D: 102 cm Provenance: Achille Marcus Fould, preserved by his descendants to this day.
