Paris porcelain plate from the end of the 19th-early 20th century. Gold inscription on the reverse Caen / Ancien Manoir des Talbotières. Contoured shape, with polychrome decoration in the centre of a fortified building in a landscape in a gold cartouche engraved with a ribbon, the blue wing with gold wolf teeth on the edge. D: 25.5 cm This medieval vestige on the outskirts of the city of Caen survived the bombings of the Second World War; it is called the Hôtel des Gens d'Armes, Manoir de Nollent or Manoir des Talbotières.
