Large pair of flintlock pistols, superimposed damask steel barrels with tobacco-coloured ribbon, signed on the upper barrels in gold letters in a cartouche: "E. BAKER MAKER to H. R. H the PRINCE REGENT.", stamped: "P-G R" surmounted by a rose (stamped punch from 1800) and: "S P" also surmounted by a rose, ends decorated with gold threads, length 20 cm, calibre 16,7 mm; breech tails bordered by a gold thread and engraved with flowers and foliage; articulated iron rods, fixed on the lower barrels; blue and gold steel plates, rear safety, engraved with leaves and signed: "E-BAKER", gooseneck dogs, batteries decorated with gold fillets, roller battery springs, the lower frame of the plates is made of steel engraved with foliage; jaspered and engraved iron bridges; walnut sticks stopping in the middle of the plates, without cap, grid handles; total length 36 cm. Period, Great Britain, circa 1814. Very good condition. Ezekiel BAKER (1758/1836), harquebusier in London, supplier to the Prince Regent in 1814.
