Pair de France sword, finely chased and gilded brass guard, keyboard with the great arms of France surrounded by horns of plenty and foliage, center of the body knot chased with a crowned "L" (Louis XVIII), branch adorned with foliage and a fleur-de-lys, pommel terminated by a lion's head.
XVIII), branch decorated with foliage and a fleur-de-lys, pommel terminated by a lion's head, spindle with two mother-of-pearl plates bordered by two chased tigers, in the middle a foliage motif with a bust of Minerva; flat-backed blade with hollow sides, one-third blued and gilded, decorated with two cartouches engraved on one side: "VIVE LE ROI" and, on the other, three large fleurs-de-lys, heel signed: "Manufre Royale de Klingenthal" and "Coulaux freres"; leather scabbard with two gilded brass fittings, the chape bears a button adorned with a fleurdelisé heraldic helmet, signed on the back: "Cahier et Manceaux a Paris", profusely chased bolt with foliage and a fleur-de-lys; length 98 cm. (Posterior leather).
Louis XVIII period, 1814/1823. Very good condition.
