Model 1866 Chassepot infantry rifle, round barrel numbered: "J 68320" and dated: "S 1868", hallmarked: "M I", "M" and "G" in a circle, caliber 11 mm; breechblock marked: "MANUFACTURE IMPERIALE - Tulle - MLE 1866"; breechblock numbered: "J 68320"; hallmarked iron fittings; walnut stock with faint label: "68... - M I" and bearing the same serial number. One bayonet of the model numbered on the crosspiece and scabbard: "R 89946" and signed on the blade: "Mre Impale de Chatelt mai 1868", the blade has been partially blued. Second Empire period. Very good, near-new condition.
