Grenadier flintlock rifle of the Imperial Guard, barrel with sides then round, hallmarked: "I", "J" in an oval, "G" and an illegible hallmark, marked: "E F" and dated: "1809", length 113.7 cm, caliber 17.5 mm; breechblock marked: "M. 1777"; lock hallmarked: "N" in a shield (Nicaise hallmark from March 1808 to the end of 1811) and : "D X" in a rectangle (Deschaseaux hallmark), signed: "MRE IMPLE DE VERSAILLES"; cut brass fittings, hallmarked: "D", square brass breeches; walnut stock hallmarked in several places: "J D", worn, illegible label, except for the peg marked: "E F" (minor wear at the corner of the buttplate return, right side); iron ramrod; overall length 153 cm. (Some pitting to the tonner). First Empire period. Good to very good condition.
