Flintlock infantry rifle model year IX from the Manufacture de Versailles, barrel with sides then round hallmarked: "R", "V", "E F" and dated: "1812", length 113.5 cm, caliber 18 mm; breech tail marked: "MLE AN 9"; lock hallmarked "B" and signed: "MRE IMPLE DE VERSAILLES"; iron fittings stamped: "G" spangled; walnut stock with macaron marked: "B - 1812 - DC - AL" and "E F" in the center, stamped: "J D" on the rear of the breech tail and counterplate side; iron ramrod; overall length 152.5 cm; presented with an An IX bayonet. (Some pitting on the barrel). First Empire period. Very good condition.
