Nice little pair of pocket flintlock pistols, octagonal damascus barrels with tobacco-colored ribbon, decorated with gold fillets and decoration, hallmarked on the left sides of a Saint-Étienne gunmaker: two crossed palms surmounted by a crown, platinum-lined light holes, length 85 mm, caliber 13 mm smooth; damascus breech shanks; flat-bodied locks engraved with a dog, signed in a gold cartouche: "Leblanc Angouleme", engraved ergot hammers, scrolled bassinets, engraved batteries; white polished iron fittings; fine, finely carved walnut stocks with gold thumb pieces, scale-carved grips; ivory-tipped ramrods; overall length 19 cm.
Late First Empire, early Restoration period. Very good condition.
