Officer's flintlock pistol, octagonal, slightly blunderbussed barrel, blued, thrice thunder-stamped: "M. D" in a gold-ground square, silver sights, length 19 cm, caliber 14.5 mm hairline rifled; engraved breech tail fitted with leaf frog; ice-polished flat-body lock, engraved and signed: "CHAILLOT A DIJON", engraved swan-neck hammer, scroll bassinet, engraved battery; cut-out iron fittings engraved with foliage, flat oval cap engraved with laurels; walnut stock with long shaft lightly carved and adorned with filigree and silver decoration, on top of grip, around breech tail and cap, finely checkered grip; horn-tipped dewlap ramrod; overall length 32.5 cm.
